Course Options to Facilitate Training

This course can be used in several ways. You do not have to make this decision now, but you should be aware of the options before you begin the course.

View the entire course on the Internet

You can stay on the Internet the entire time it takes you to work through each module. If you decide to stay online you will accumulate whatever fees your Internet Service Provider charges for the time that you are connected to the Internet. This is the best way to use the course because the interactive features only work if you are online. At the end of each course module you'll see a series of questions called Check Your Knowledge. You must submit your answers to these questions for each module while logged into the system with your username and password. The Cornell system will track your progress as you submit the answers for each course module.

Download each Module to your computer

Each module in the training course is available as a Portable Document Format (PDF) file that can be downloaded to your computer. On the first page of each module, there is a "DOWNLOAD THIS MODULE IN PDF FORMAT" button on the bottom left area of the page. If you click on this button, your computer will do one of three things:

After the module has been downloaded you can view the material on your computer, or print it out and read it at your convenience. When you have reviewed all of the information, you can go back online to answer the questions in the Check Your Knowledge Sections so that the automatic tracking system can record your answers for each module. You will not be able to use the interactive features if you download each module as a PDF file.

*You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader version 2.0 or higher to download and read the files.
